The plan was to make some blocks for an exchange but ........... that did not happen. Instead I ended up making a scrappy quilt top for a wall hanging measuring about 33"x25". Listened to the Fiesta Bowl and my husband rooting for OSU at the same time :)I rummaged around in my fat quarter box (everything is organised in clear gallon bags by color) and came up with some already cut 61/2" white tone on tone squares and 5 different fabrics. The red, dark blue and white all have stars on them, the multi colored spot I added to give more interest and the pale blue is tone on tone floral.
Once I cut some 21/2" strips I started piecing together randomly to see what I could come up with.
