'tis a gift - I'm doing a give-away :)

The give-away is open till Saturday (19th). Leave a comment at this entry or send me an e-mail.
I will announce the winner on Monday (21st.).
The book is called "Happy Endings - Finishing The Edges of Your Quilts" by Mimi Dietrich and the quilt pattern is called "Butterflies" originally designed by Laura Wheeler and adapted by Nina Shrock. (The antique quilt is in The New England Quilt Museum.)

Just for fun :) Anyone that has ever left a comment at this blog (up until yesterday) is automatically entered into the drawing.

HI TN lady from a former KY lady now in TX

I would absolutely adore that pattern, that is one reason I got into quilting #1 when I had cancer, I dreamt of a way to pay back people that needed and chose to quilt cause of my grannie, who made butterfly quilts. to me that is a VERY NEAT pattern

c said...

ops I also meant to say, that #2 was grannies quilts for the family had butterflys on them until she died

and then my choice is to make charity quilts only, I have no family left and everything i make I give-Carol

My mother's family has always been into quilting and I often think that I would like to start it also. I have the pattern from my great-grandmother's quilt and that would be perfect to start on. Perhaps a wall hanging to begin with. I love the thought that you are giving such a nice book away.

My DH is from Nashville, TN and we visit there often. Lovely state.

Heeelllllo from Walla Walla, Washington. Home of our state vegetable, the Walla Walla Sweet Onion. THis would be a great pattern for helping with the goal of making quilts for our local Homeless Woman's Shelter. This is a pet project of mine and I am calling all PIGS I can get to help make my goal of 20 quilts by November, when I feel they will definitely be needing these quilts. I also thought It might brighten up a room to have these bright spots of color. Thanks for the drawing. lynn@threadandbolts.com
